This is the 5th installment of “Do’s and Don’ts of Roofing – For YOU the Consumer!” which is available as a FREE download.
Often, the best roofers are in such high demand that they don’t have to consider price competition. The incentive to hire this roofer is not the roofing cost, but the quality of work and peace of mind. However, another incentive may be an agreement to work with you down the road if you experience any problems with your roof.
If you drive too hard of a bargain with your roofer, you may be sacrificing quality of workmanship or materials. Considering that your safety, well being, the security of your belongings, and your basic human need for shelter is at stake…saving a few dollars is not worth the sacrifice of a quality roof, which is why roofing costs shouldn’t be your only consideration.
